The Inspiring Journey of Genomac Holdings: From Humble Beginnings to a Global Innovation Leader

At Genomac Holdings, our story began with nothing but a vision and a determination to create science-driven solutions that would transform lives across Africa and beyond.

In April 2022, Oluwaseyi Abraham Olawale, a passionate bioinformatician and entrepreneur, co-founded what was then called Genomac Hub (now Genomac Holdings) alongside his wife. With no capital, no office, and no formal structure just an old laptop, a borrowed table, and three plastic chairs they launched their dream. What they lacked in resources, they made up for in resilience, faith in God, and a relentless drive to innovate through genomics, bioinformatics, and translational science.

Starting Small, Dreaming Big

Operating from a small corner in a rental building, the Genomac team began offering free webinars, training programs, and research analysis support for students. Every major task marketing, teaching, consulting, operations was handled personally by Oluwaseyi and his wife.

The challenges were real: overwhelming workloads, financial struggles, and moments of doubt that nearly led to giving up. But two things kept them going:

• The unwavering support of Oluwaseyi’s wife

• The mentorship of Jesudamilare Adesegun-David, Co-founder of Ennovate Lab, whose vision of redemptive entrepreneurship inspired the Genomac dream.

Importantly, the early team members weren’t drawn by promises of big paychecks. They were driven by a shared vision: building something bigger than themselves something that could outlive them and impact generations.

This deep sense of purpose and passion laid the foundation for the Genomac you see today.

Where We Are Today

Fast forward to today, and Genomac Holdings has grown into a thriving powerhouse with over 45 dedicated professionals across various sectors science, education, engineering, design, and business strategy.

We have also established multiple subsidiaries, each with its own leadership team, but all united under one mission: to deliver sustainable, science-driven innovation across Africa and beyond.
