ABOUT THE MASTERCLASS
Our intensive 4-week program introduces participants to the foundations and applications of viral genomics through a combination of live virtual lectures and hands-on practice.

This masterclass is ideal for undergraduates, postgraduates, early-career researchers, public health professionals, and anyone seeking to build expertise in viral data analysis. You will work on real-world mini projects, using tools like Usegalaxy, Geneious, R, and Tableau to explore genome annotation, sequence alignment, variant detection, data visualization, and more.
This is not just another online course. It’s a project-based, mentor-supported journey where you’ll complete a full viral genome analysis—from raw data to final presentation—on a virus of your choice.
