Applied Cancer Genomics & Biostatistics is Genomac's flagship 6-Week Intensive Research Program, designed to equip aspiring researchers, postgraduate students, and life science professionals with the practical skills required to conduct modern cancer genomics research.
 

Unlike traditional academic courses that focus primarily on theory, this immersive program emphasizes hands-on application through real-world datasets, industry-standard tools, and project-based learning.

Participants will gain end-to-end experience in the complete cancer genomics research workflow, from data acquisition and preprocessing to statistical analysis, biological interpretation, visualization, and reproducible reporting.
 

Throughout the program, participants will learn how to retrieve cancer genomic datasets from public repositories, perform quality control and variant analysis, apply biostatistical methods and regression models using R, create publication-ready figures and tables, and automate reproducible research reports using modern computational workflows.

The program culminates in a capstone cancer genomics research project, enabling participants to graduate with a portfolio-ready research experience that strengthens applications for internships, MSc and PhD programs, research collaborations, scholarships, and careers in genomics, bioinformatics, and biomedical research.
